Is There A Need To Have Afterschool Class For WFCF Scholarship?

Initially the government proposed the idea that schools nationwide extend their hours. Since the year 2010, the government held the idea that schools could provide extra curricula core services after the school day has ended. Ideally these classes could be a benefit to parents knowing that their children are receiving core educational and life values post the schooling day to achieve a WFCF Scholarship. However, some parents can argue that a longer day may prove to be tedious for the school going child.

Exposing children to a vast array of extra mural activities, allow them to develop an added sense of confidence and self esteem. These extra school clubs promotes a sense of camaraderie, team work and intellectual growth and development. Yet the benefits does not stop there.

Still parents and others question whether these after school classes are a boon or a benefit. The arguable debate is that extra schooling programmes merely extend the amount of time children spend in the classroom with no justifiable advantages. Then again this argument has no real basis and it can be stated that these programmes are much more interesting than school programmes or curriculum based work and it allows pupils to make the most of their youth. The programmes make them experience their youth and develop an identity.

Extra sport classes in particular have the ability to aid children s brains by improving their concentration and promoting information retention. Aside from these academic benefits, being on the sports field means that learners can be equipped with valuable life skills that will guide them throughout their lives.

The added hours teach learners about long term commitments. At the end of the school day, routine ends for many children. Having an extra mural activity fosters the idea of sticking to a routine and thus committing to a routine. Commitment to an extra hours activity like a sporting activity in turn teaches learners about responsibility and the need to be responsible to peers. It further enhances life lessons about time management and adhering to a strict time routine. Having to complete an activity within a certain time frame also teaches learners about commitment and dedication.

Extra curricula s push children out of their comfort zone by fostering in them skills required for basic survival and success. By partaking in these after school classes children tend to form friendships with other learners.

Extra classes with a stronger academic foothold are generally more appreciated by parents who rely on these extra course classes to solve learning barriers that their children may have. In these classes learners may be more confident to problem solve than they are in the stricter classroom setting. Children may also learn the necessary skills to actually problem solve. The extra classes may very well help learners become better students and more knowledgeable human beings.

Sometimes these classes although being rather routine break away from the norm of academics and allow learners to thrive and grow. The extra murals do this by providing children with the necessary time to destress and refreshes their minds ensuring they experience enrichment and have fun in the process.
