Terminally ill persons and their care givers have numerous titles to read and better cope with their situation. Some of the books are personal experiences while others are narrations of the actions and experiences of care givers. The terminal illness books will take you through the mind of the patient or help you handle your relative or friend better.

The Fault In Our Stars- this is an amazing story by John Green about a teenage girl who has been diagnosed with cancer. She enlists into a support group that is made up of terminally ill teenagers. The book traces the lives of other teenagers battling different conditions. They love and social lives are intriguing.

My Sisters Keeper- Randy Pausch focuses on the reaction of a person when he learns that he is terminally ill. A lot goes through the mind at that point leading to anxiety and abrupt decisions. As a caregiver, spouse, friend or guardian, these are very crucial observations to make. The book is thus very resourceful if such a patient is under your care.

Before I Die- diagnosis with terminal illness comes with the impression of an end. When such news are broken, the main character writes a TO Do Before I Die List. She only has a few months to live. Sex tops the list and according to Jenny Downham, this will add thrill into the life of the patient. The list includes wonderful experiences that will invigorate her life. Decisions at the final moments can be very personal and difficult to understand for other people.

Deadline- Ben Wolf always dreamed about that final year. It turns out that he has a terminal disease and will have to change his plans. Within the remaining one year he has sets out to be an excellent footballer, save his drunkard friend and give a headache to his civics teacher. In his attempt to keep his mission a secret, he discovers that other people too have secrets.

Me and the Earl and the Racing Girl- this is the work of Jesse Andrews. It features a high school espionage master called Greg Gaines. His secret escapades are only known to and done with Earl. His mother forces him back with Rachel, a girl diagnosed with leukemia. Rachel gives up on treatment and the plan for Jesse and his friend is to make a movie out of her life. It is rated as the worst ever release. Their lives change for good and Greg has to deal with being on the lime light.

Ruin is a 250 pages book by Rachel van Dyken. The main character is in denial about the things she has witnessed. Bouts of depression are all she has known. It stays as such until Michals Wes appears. The girl thought that the new experiences would mean something new to her. The entry of Wes becomes her downfall instead of lifting her. How this happens is intriguing to read over the fast paced book.

Death of a Super Hero- according to McCarten, Donald has become violent after learning that his days on earth are numbered. He turns to drugs, music and sex to the dismay of his teachers and parents. He seems to be escaping from the real battles in his life. Their only hope lies in a psychologist, but will he succeed? Only the last page can tell.
