When one of your schools is listed in The Princeton College review, then it's definitely worth visiting at. California State University - San Bernardino is one of the best among all universities that you can find in the west coast. It has never dropped out of the top 100 list of most excellent educational institutions in America mostly because of how they are very dedicated to their students.
We have mostly the California State system to thank for this. This university employs a no-nonsense approach to learning. You don't get overburdened with theories, with the history and just plain old boring lectures. It doesn't entice you with flashy school pride nor overly-hype achievements. Don't get me wrong, CSUSB definitely has cabinets full of plaques and trophies old and new but they are very refined. They don't entice students to come here because of a very good football team or that famous actors attend your graduation. No, they don't need to do that. They already have a stellar curriculum to do that job.
For an institution that keeps a very high degree of academic standard, it is amazing to mention that it is not too costly. It is not that expensive to stay there either. If you would like to within university grounds, their dormitories are extremely clean and brand new and the meals there are even light on your wallet. Several food trucks roll right along every lunch break so you're able to even have a variety of meals every day. You may also take advantage of their school funding programs wherein almost 80% of the student population is benefitting from.
Whether from the state funding or from community involvement, you would never have to worry! The faculty that they have is also on par with the professors that you can get from other distinguished universities. I had a great time here mostly because of them. They made their classes interactive and fun, it was never boring. We were exposed to different settings and situations to help prepare us with our careers. The classes are relatively small so the professors are very caring and open for discussion in and out of class. Whatever inquiries you have, they will surely listen to you.
Outside of the classes and trainings, California State University in San Bernardino provides a bunch of stimulation for the students. They bring comedians like Aziz Ansari and also other artists to perform there, which we all get discounted passes care of the university. Clubs along with a bunch of organizations also provide us with the means to further engage into our other passions and past times. The LGBT center has their drag queen event that happens annually. The truth is that, I got a memorable time in that place.
